Remus Lupin | 16 | Gryffindor | Half-Blood | Andrew Garfield | Taken
Prongs, I would love to tell you that I told you so… but I’ll save you the heartache instead.
Has incredibly heightened senses. His sense of touch, taste, sight, sound and smell all intensify during the week of the full moon.
Remus has a pet peeve about leaving food on a plate at the end of a meal. He will always eat everything on his plate and often eat the leftovers off of his friends’ plates after they are done eating. He does not like seeing good food go to waste.
Remus Lupin has grown accustomed to a life that has left him with a body that is constantly tired and sick. At a very young age, an altercation between his father and a werewolf named Greyback occurred. Like so many who suffer from lycanthropy from a young age, he was a very sheltered child. The weeks before and after the full moon were horrible, the transformation simply too terrible for his small frame to handle as a child. Completely homeschooled, Remus spent a lot of time with his mother. He owes a lot of his intelligence and desire for knowledge to her passion when it came to teaching him. As a muggle, she was slightly unaware of the challenges that being a werewolf in the wizarding world could bring. No matter what Remus was destined to face, she wanted him to have the best education that she could give him. With so much time spent studying and being sick, Remus had little time for a social life. In fact, he’d made few friends and was horrified of what life at Hogwarts would be like once he got there. Thankfully, for Remus, he never had to worry about finding friends. Sirius, James and Peter found him instead, and their tiny group they so named the “Marauders” has thrived ever since.
Remus is a hard person to get to know. It takes a lot to gain his trust, but once he has gotten close to someone, he will love them for all that his worth. He still feels incredibly guilty sometimes, that he’s gotten such great friends when he’s such a terrible creature on the inside. Somehow, with the marauders around, he feels much more at peace with himself (not that he has a healthy self-image by any rate). He is intelligent, quick and witty. He may be the quietest and bookwormiest of the group, but he has definitely earned his keep as a troublemaker. After all, there is no way that James and Sirius could pull off half of their pranks without a genius mastermind to tell them how to do it and help orchestrate it. Just as he was fearful about what life at Hogwarts would be like, he is equally fearful about what life outside of Hogwarts will be like. He spends a lot of time worrying about the future and pondering over what it will bring with it.
Friends: James Potter, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew, Lily Evans, Emmeline Vance
Enemies: Gilderoy Lockhart, Rita Skeeter
